This morning, my computer system clock was off by an hour. Daylight Savings Time ended, but British Columbia has elected to stay on it year round. No clock changing for us. But my computer never got the word. Seems Microsoft never altered the Standard Time Zone offerings (Pacific, Mountain, etc.) to include provinces that are not changing their clocks every half year. For over an hour I fiddled and futzed trying to get my computer onto the correct time. It was not until someone at Microsoft included separate time zones for those following or not following DST, that I was able to set the correct time. We are now Pacific, British Columbia, UTC-7, a unit of time all to ourselves. Yes, we are that special. Don’t hate us cause we’re beautiful.
